Our Let it Grow winter gardening is a fun and healthy activity for children to get in touch with nature. Kids love spending time tending plants and growing their own food. Kids develop new skills, learn about seeds germinating, transplanting, roots, leaves, flowers and fruit. And, of course, responsibility to water their plants, too!
Our “Let it Grow” gardening programme is an unusual, fun and healthy activity for children to get in touch with nature. Winter is the best time to start planting. Most children love being outdoors, spending time tending plants and growing food. Gardening has many benefits: we’ve seen children develop new skills, learn about science, nature and nutrition (and what happens if they don’t give plants enough water!). We’ve also seen their enjoyment digging in the soil, getting dirty, making mud pies and watching their seeds germinate and turn into a lovely leafy plant, or a carrot or a juicy tomato!
